I really, really hate it when

I see people say that intelligent individuals and geniuses are always depressed and pessimistic because of their ability to see what’s wrong with the world and stupid things like that.

No. Saying that is so ignorant and pretentious and just annoying. It sounds like people try to place themselves above others and say that they are pessimistic because they must be a genius compared to everyone else’s stupidity. So positive people can’t be intelligent then? Being pessimistic doesn’t make you smart, it makes you just a bitter person.

It disgusts me just how self-righteous people can be.
